Three cleans per home, plus the extras builders need

Work follows your build schedule: the first clean after the trades leave, a second to catch what they left behind, and a final clean the day the buyer gets the keys.

  • Construction clean

    After the last trades finish

The first full clean of the house: construction dust off every surface, cabinets inside and out, vents washed, stickers and protective film removed, and floors washed. Windows are cleaned inside and out within two to four days, ahead of the screen installers.

  • Re-clean

    Between construction and possession

A second pass to catch anything missed and anything the trades brought back in. Site supervisor deficiency notes are cleared here, and floor protection tape comes up.

  • Possession clean

    Before the buyer's walkthrough

The final detailed clean. Glass without streaks, no dust on railings or in the back of drawers, the basement checked again, and one last walk through the house from the buyer's point of view.

  • Spec and show home cleans

    Every two weeks

Biweekly maintenance visits that keep show homes clean, presentable and ready for prospective buyers, booked from your list of homes.

  • Window cleaning

On its own or with any clean

Inside and out, including frames, window tops and every track corner.

The clean that matters most

The possession clean

Final walkthrough, ready for possession.

The last clean before the buyer gets the keys, and the one they see. We check in with your site supervisor first, then finish the house room by room.

  • Windows, frames and tracks
  • Cabinets and drawers, inside and out
  • Light fixtures, door tops, railings
  • Floors, corners and baseboards
  • Basement re-checked

What gets cleaned in every home

Our standard scope for a new house, room by room. Supervisors check the corners, so we start there.

The details that get flagged most

Window track corners, light fixtures, door tops, paint spots on floors, carpet edges along baseboards, dust on railings and in the back of drawers. They're on our list for every clean.

Kitchen and bathrooms

  • Countertops cleaned to the manufacturer's care instructions
  • Cabinets, drawers and shelves inside and out; drawers go back exactly where they came from
  • Under counters and vanities
  • Tubs, sinks and toilets, with any damage noted
  • Mirrors and glass, streak-free

Windows, walls and trim

  • Windows inside and out, frames, tops and tracks
  • Light fixtures and ceiling fan blades
  • Baseboards, doors and door tops, pillars and ledges
  • Walls dry-wiped; switches and plug covers
  • Stickers and film removed (appliance warranty barcodes left on)

Floors and vents

  • Carpet vacuumed tight to the baseboards
  • Tile, lino and hard floors washed; paint spots removed
  • Heating and return-air vents vacuumed and washed
  • Protective floor tape removed at the re-clean

Basement and mechanical

  • Basement windows, doors, stairs and railing
  • Furnace, hot water tank and panels wiped (outside only)
  • Sump pit wiped carefully, setup left as is
  • Fireplace wiped and protective film removed
  • Everything re-checked at possession

Before we leave

  • Front and rear decks swept
  • Cleaning garbage to the designated bins
  • Thermostats left as found
  • Every door and window locked
  • The home looks clean and smells clean

Built around your possession dates

  • Your schedule, not ours

Cleans are booked against your build and possession calendar. If a date moves, tell us and the clean moves with it.

  • Deficiencies closed out

Supervisor notes are handled at the next clean, and the basement and windows are checked again at possession because trades come back late.

  • Careful on a finished site

Damage is reported to the site supervisor right away, warranty stickers stay on, thermostats stay as set, and the house is locked when we leave.

  • Covered

Liability insurance and WCB Alberta coverage in good standing. Certificates are available to your office on request.

Questions builders ask

Not covered here? Call 587-575-5496.

Are you insured and covered by WCB?

Yes. Cru Cleaning Services carries liability insurance and has a WCB Alberta account in good standing. We'll send the certificates to your office on request.

What's included in a construction clean?

A full clean of the house after the trades finish: dust removed from every surface, cabinets inside and out, fixtures, vents, stickers and film, floors, and windows inside and out. The full list is in what gets cleaned.

Why three cleans instead of one?

Trades keep working after the first clean, and fine dust keeps settling. The re-clean catches what came back and clears deficiency notes, so the possession clean can focus on the finishing details the buyer will see.

How do you handle deficiency notes?

Send them to us. Items are fixed at the next scheduled clean, or sooner if your possession is close.

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes, along with water if the site doesn't have it yet. If a finish needs a specific product, tell us when you book.

Do you clean spec and show homes on a schedule?

Yes. We do biweekly maintenance visits. Send us your list of homes and the due date, and they're cleaned and ready to show.

How is a job priced?

By the square footage and the cleans you need. Undeveloped basements and window cleaning are quoted separately. Request builder pricing for your homes.

Which areas do you cover?

Edmonton, including the southwest communities, plus St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Strathcona County and Beaumont.

Send us the possession date.

Tell us about the home and the cleans you need, and we'll come back with builder pricing and confirm the dates.
